Estate Services’ first Information Seminar, An Enormous Success Nick Knowlton introduces his Expert Team Estate Services’ first seminar, held at the RA centre, on Tuesday, September 27 was a great success. Nick Knowlton, principal of Estate Services, hosted the event to introduce his Team Members, each of whom offers a unique, valuable service to make Estate Services the vibrant organization it is. Upon arrival, all visitors were greeted by Nick Knowlton and Tom Davidson. Guests, which included representatives of trust companies, law offices and banks, were then invited to peruse the display tables that had been set up by Team Members. Ross Wilson, an antiquarian of arms and militaria, displayed an intriguing exhibit of antique swords. As guests visited the displays, Team Members answered queries and offered brochures and fact sheets about their services. The highlight of the morning was the seminar part of the event. Nick Knowlton welcomed everyone and introduced each Team Member, who then came forward to offer a presentation on their services. Presentations were clear and informative, revealing the Team’s in-depth expertise and experience. The atmosphere of the seminar was friendly, with several humorous stories being told throughout the morning. Presenters included the following: • Janet Carlile, a Sotheby’s trained antiques appraiser* • Ross Wilson, an antiquarian of arms and militaria* • Diane Fuller, an auctioneer with Mclean and Associates • Phil Bottreill, a structural engineer and building inspector • G &E Contractors, general contractors • Bob Summerhust, a real estate appraiser *Both Janet and Ross are part of the Canadian Antique Road Show.
